The Best Mother's Day

Well since I was gone for Mother's Day, I thought that it was going to really bad not being able to be with my kiddos on Mother's Day and kept telling them on the phone that Mother's Day was just a day. We could celebrate Mother's Day any day of the week. When I returned home on Tuesday I was really busy with my May Dinner for the Junior League. So we did Mother's Day on Wednesday. I started by getting the mail and my ring had come which was not a surprise due to ordering it myself. I LOVE it and knew that it was coming. I thought that the ring was it, that I was not getting anything else. I was wrong. Russell had called me to check the back fence to see if the storms had knocked down our fence again. As I opened the blinds, there was writing in shoe polish that said Happy Mother's Day and work in progress. Russell and the kids had cleaned the back porch, put up temporary gate to keep dogs off the porch, rearranged the patio furniture, and purchased new cushions as my Mother's Day gift from the kids. The ring was a gift from my husband to let me know how great of a mom I was to our children. Talk about making me cry....I was so surprised!!! I use to love to sit out on the back porch having my morning coffee but have not been able to for the past year due to having a dog that chewed up the cushions. Thanks you guys for both of my gifts. We had a wonderful day and I am so blessed to be the Mommy of two wonderful children, even more blessed to have a husband that thinks that I am a great mother....when some days I feel like I am a horrible mother due to having two strong-willed children and sometimes not knowing what to do. I LOVE you guys!

About Me

My photo
I'm a stay at home mommy and really love every minute of it! I love my husband of 10 years. He was my 1st date and high school sweetheart. We have two beautiful children. Peyton is seven and Madison is three. I thank God everyday that He has blessed me with such a wonderful life and family. I stay busy by saying yes to things that sometimes I should said no to and by volunteering. I am a member of the Junior League of Lubbock. This organization does so much good for the community and for developing the potential of women. It's great to be a part of it! I am also active in my church. I have been the nursery committee chair for the past three years. I also teach preschool two days a week. In my spare time I take pictures! Photography is my passion. I love, love, love, love to shop. I get the deals and I like to share them with my friends. If there is anything you should know about me, it's that I love Jesus. Everyday I'm thankful that God sent him to die a death for me that he didn't deserve.
